The disastrous course of our recent history obliges us to do all we can to enable people of different religions and cultures to live together in harmony, both today and in the future. This we do by keeping alive the memory of the local historical past.

We attach great importance to preserving the building of the former Rexingen synagogue for posterity as a testimony to Judaeo-Christian history in Germany, especially in times when public corporations can no longer guarantee the structural preservation of this important cultural memorial site.

Through its use as a Protestant church, it remains a house of God, a place of prayer and encounter, where a faith rooted in Judaism is proclaimed. All people of goodwill are called upon to help.
